Halving numbers in class

Max noticed that you "can't always get the same amount in 2 parts."
And Asmaa thought that this was "because they're not an even number."
Habeeb knew that this was "because they're odd"
And Jamal reasoned that "There will always be one left over if we're halving"

Problem solving - will all the medals cost the same (part 2)

We realised that the names costed different amounts because the letters cost different amount.

Problem solving - will all the medals cost the same?

We predicted that the medals would cost the same because all the names started with H and all the names had five letters in. In partners we worked out all the calculations.
