Sports Week

Fencing was such good fun. What do you think of our moves?

The Climbing Wall was tricky, but we all had a go. Look how high A H got!

We hadn't heard of Boccia before, but we had brilliant fun playing it. It was trickier than it looks!

Materials

In science we have been learning about a range of materials and their properties. This week we worked in groups to build houses for the three little pigs. We made houses from plastic bricks, wooden bricks, paper, cardboard and plastic bags. Before we carried out our investigation we had to predict which of the houses would stay standing after the wolf had 'huffed and puffed'. Our wolf was actually a carefully disguised hair dryer. We found that the house built of plastic bricks was the strongest because the wolf could not blow it down. Can you remember what happened to our paper houses? Look at our fantastic houses! Well done Year Two.

Telling the time

We have been learning to tell the time.

Which number does the minute hand point to at o'clock? Where would the minute hand point at half past each hour? Do you know the number of hours in one day? How many minutes are in one hour?

Pic Collage Fun

Today we used Pic Collage to create posters describing Rumplestiltskin. Fantastic adjectives Year Two!

Science - Properties of Everyday Materials

We sorted objects made from different materials. Then we found objects in our classroom made from those materials. We recorded our findings on a table.

Everyday Materials

Can you name the material each object is made from? Try to describe the properties of that material.
